Pushing the Limits of the Power Grid

In the wake of the cold, cold, COLD front that has recently hit the Kentuckiana area, LG&E has asked its customers to respond by conserving energy in their homes by dialing back thermostats, turning off lights, and limiting any other unnecessary energy consumption.  The increase in furnace use in the cold conditions can temporarily exhaust a power grid that is already strained.  With temperatures reaching as low as a dangerous -3 degrees F, this has left many homeowners uneasy, dreading a power outage of any duration.

Morris Electric Co. is pleased to have provided many of our customers with a warm sense of assurance during this time through their Generac home standby generators!
